New belgium brewery - Abbey
This beer is solid flavor, I'm not sure if I can say it any other way.
This beer pours a solid brown with decent head who's lacing sticks around for a while. It smells very oaty and kind of sweet. Kind of like a bowl of oatmeal, except, well, its not steaming.
It has a pretty heavy rich body that kind of tastes not hugely unlike a good bowl of oatmeal. It has a nice brown sugar feeling to it that balances the oatiness of the beer. It finishes smooth with a slight bananaish overtone.
All in all, I am going to keep this review short simply because I want to get back to drinking this lovely concoction. New Belgium brewery thank you for yet another fantastic beer.
